Advent 2021

Advent (meaning “arrival”) is a time of waiting; of anticipation. Christ has come, Christ has died, Christ will come again. We await this return as our ultimate hope. As we enter into the four weeks leading into Christmas, we unit ourselves with believers in previous times waiting for this promised Messiah. For 2021, we focused on the offices of Christ. Traditionally, they are Prophet (Messenger), Priest (Mediator), and King (Monarch). Because of the fourth Sunday we added an additional theme of Creator (Maker). We dove into the book of Hebrews to draw out these many roles that Jesus fulfills.
